During this period, we retain your information to investigate illegal or harmful behavior. Retention of data during this security period is based on our legitimate interests and those of potential victims of third parties.

  • We retain limited data to comply with legal retention obligations: for example, we retain transaction data and the imprecise location of purchases for 10 years to comply with legal tax and accounting requirements, and bank card data for the period during which a user can dispute a transaction and “traffic” data/logs for one year to comply with legal retention obligations. We also retain records of the consents members give us for five years to comply with and demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

  • We retain some data based on our legitimate interests: we retain customer service and support data for 6 years from the date of the report as part of our security efforts, to support our customer service decisions, to enforce our rights and to be able to defend ourselves in the event of a complaint; profile data and estimated geolocation of the upload for one year pending any litigation, to establish, exercise and defend our legal rights; and the data necessary to prevent excluded members from opening a new account, to ensure the security and vital interests of our members.

  • Finally, we retain data based on our legitimate interests when there is an actual or potential issue, claim or dispute that requires us to preserve data, especially if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request to preserve data (in which case we will need to retain the data to comply with our legal obligations) or if the data is otherwise necessary for legal proceedings.

Where permitted by law, we may retain and use information that is not by itself identifiable or attributable to you specifically for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including improving our Service, creating new features, technologies and services, and ensuring the security of the Services.
